I think I will take a few of the suggestions here and update my file. I will indeed hack the MTL file and change the things that are wrong with it for Daz... Just hope it doesn't mess it up for everyone else.

One further question... 

In presenting something such as my product here on Renderosity (the books) How would it be best to 'present' that to a Daz user?

I mean I take it you could use the books as background props, or the magazines for a coffee table.. But how would it benefit you 'most' 

Lined up neatly? Or scattered about? Or simply as it's already packaged?

Please don't think I'm shamelessly promoting my product, I'm not.. I just want to make it the best it can be for all users.
