Hi, everyone.  Just wanted to introduce my latest freebie.  I'd like to also give a little background about this one.  This one was originally a model I made for John Martini of "JokerMartini.com - Tools, VFX & Tutorials" at **ScriptSpot.com**, which is a maxscript resource website.  He had a plugin script for 3dsmax that allowed the user to create incredible compound lofting and lathing, all in one easy-to-use tool.  I liked his script so much, I modeled a fairly complex lamp with it in less than **5 minutes**, which I called the Nail Lamp, and made a [render](http://luxxeon.deviantart.com/art/Nail-Lamp-369765014) of it for him to use in his advertisements of the script, or however he'd like, as a promotional image.

Long story short, I recently decided to revise the lamp, by making it a screw shape instead, and improving upon some of the details.  It turned out well enough to offer it out there for anyone to use in their renders as a freebie model.  Here's some wireframe shots, and production renders of the model I just finished yesterday:

The model is 100% quads, making it a perfect candidate for further subD smoothing if desired, but I don't think it's really necessary, as it renders in close-ups extremely well at it's current base polygonal state.  I UV mapped it half by hand with the tools in 3dsmax, and half with 3DCoat.  I'm happy with how the shade came out, and included a detailed lightbulb object as a bonus.

The model, including all hi-res textures, is currently available in .OBJ format for anyone to use in their scenes.  Click Here to download it from the Free Stuff area.  The .max version should be approved soon.

It's also up right now on Turbosquid and ShareCG.com, if anyone would prefer to download them there for some reason.

As always, I greatly appreciate anyone who could find a use for this model, and please don't hesitate to contact me, via PM or email, if you have any problems or questions regarding it's use.  I'm very flexible as to how my models can be used.  You could pretty much do whatever you please with them, just as long as you don't resell them or redistribute them as your own geometry.  You can use them in renders however you like, commercial or non-commercial.  Thanks!

Thank you all so very much.  I really appreciate the feedback and comments, and I hope you guys can find the models useful in some renders.

Just an update:  This model is also now available for download in the native .max scene file format (compatible with 3dsmax 2012 or higher), and can be downloaded here in Freestuff.  Thank again for the feedback and comments.
