I'll spend a reasonable amount on something I need. Usually that will be something well-modelled that I can't do myself, like Swidhelm's Milanese Armour or Xurge's Sci-fi suits. I'm prepared to spend quite a bit on well made armour - as long as it's not too fantasy to be any use. Will happily spend in the 30-40 dollar range for something good.

Other than that I buy some fantasy-type and historical clothes at lower prices, mainly so I can convert them for other characters. I don't usually buy any everyday-type clothing as I rarely use it and if I do it's easy to make dynamic versions myself. The same goes for some fantasy items, if I can make a dynamic equivalent I'm never going to buy it.

I don't always equate the price with the quality. Although most of the very good quality items I've bought have had higher prices.
