But are we designing everything now for those on mobile devices? Since I hit the big Five Oh this year, I guess that I am finally too old, as the saying goes. I don't want my computer to act like a mobile phone (which I don't even own one of those things). Microsuck seems to think that we all want our computers to look like mobile devices, hence Windows 8 and 8.1. I guess I'm in a minority who wants a computer to be a computer and web pages to be readable. I hope there is some tweeking to this forum design. But since they never listened to complaints about the too-large headers and footers, I have my doubt. This looks terrible folks!

Agreed. This new version doesn't look good. Wasn't there enough empty wasted space on the last version? Someone thought there should be even more?

Yeah. I'm also fed up of sites turning everything big and blobby to try and make my PC display look like some kind of i-thingy. Bleargh.

I'm sure the Ignore button is all very nice, but really it's quite easy to just ignore someone who's constantly annoying you without the button, y'know ;)
