Subject: Is Anyone Making Face Morphs and Textures for Roxie?

Just wondering. I know I'm biased, but I really would like to see Roxie  do a little better as a Poser figure. I know they're planning a Texture Converter support for her to convert V4 textures to her... which is great. I guess I can wait, but it would be nice to have a few new faces for her as well.

I think I read a post someone was. What in particular are you looking for?

Might want to have a look through this thread. It was going decent for a while, then kinda died out.

Yeah some of my freebies are posted in that thread. I didn't stop making them, but it was 3Dream who was posting them in that thread, and I haven't heard from him in a while.

TEYON:

I always have the face room to handle facial morphs, but I'd really like to see some decent textures for Roxie. Particularly ethnic ones.

3Dream has come out with the Master Skull Cap, with fits for about 50 characters, including Rex, Roxie, Anastasia, and Tyler. Currently has 5 short hair styles, including a "leaf" hair that goes well with your pixie outfit.

Darkseal has his "Roxie Plus" at Renderotica. Despite the name, and emphasis on a couple square inches, there are a lot of useful morphs, including nose, lip, ear, flat chested, really thin, Humungous breasts and "Baby Got Back", thinner thighs.

Looks like this might be the only game in town.

Glitterati came out with a 40's dress for both Miki 4 and Roxie at RDNA. Netherworks has a Hair Conversion System fit for Roxie. LadyRaine has a character morph and texture there. Texture Transformer by Reality Paint is promising V4 to Roxie and M4 to Rex in the future.

Shame we have a couple of decent characters in Poser, and darn near nothing for them. Thank you for your work, EClark.

Thanks for the Lady Raine tip, Nobody. I just put it on my wish list. Got to support the people who support the figures I like.

Roxie and Rex don't work all that well in the face room. The faceroom textures need to be applied manually, and the conforming eyelashes don't assume the faceroom morphs. I don't understand it - with the latest Poser update faceroom support for these figures was specifically listed as one of the issues that was being addressed. I don't see much of an improvement.

Making a sculpted face morph is probably a better option, but I would just leave the eyes alone, because adjusting the eyelashes to adopt the morph without clumping would be such a pain. Sculpted morphs that avoid changing the eyes don't give the figure much versatility. When those modelled eyelashes distort it just looks horrible, like she has a spider stuck on her eye. Yes, I can grow lashes in the faceroom and get a passable result, but then I could also just use a different figure and save myself the trouble.

These modelled eyelashes on Roxie and Rex are a bad idea, incompletely executed. In other ways the figures are delightful, but I am going to stay away from making face morphs for them until the eyelash issue is sorted out - if ever.

I don't understand Smithmicro, either. The same problem that occurred with Miki 4, and was fixed quickly with the option to replace the figure eyelashes with transmapped eyelashes. Curious why this hasn't happened with Rex and Roxie.

If I had Poser Pro 2014 and Texture Transformer support, I'd try doing something texture wise. But I can't quite afford to get Poser Pro 2014 yet.

Thanks for the Darkseal tip, nobody. Just picked up the Roxie Plus morphs. And I think you're right They're going to be really useful. Shame about them being on sale at Renderotica though, because a lot of people won't go there to buy them. maybe he'll put them on sale some else as well.

Hmm, 43 morphs. Won't be using all of them, but this will certainly help Roxie reach her potential as a figure.

I've been tinkering with both Rex and Rox in ZBrush.

But also tinkering with Dawn.

Not been sure which if any I should put effort into using to try to make some of my own characters with... and yeah been put off with the eyelash thing too, as mentioned by Nanette.

A big part of me is still holding out for whatever is coming next...

...and the fact I don't have much time at all just now is kind of reinforcing that attitude.
