If an object is a light emitter, it means that it is treated as a light source when using IDL.

I have the usual Poperties in the Properties tab for my lights; which ones are missing?

You can indeed add your Poser 8 content folder to the Library as an externl runtime.

 

In the Help>About Poser screen, make sure the version is 10.0.3.26066.  Of not, install SR3, found here...
