I'm surprised that they didn't at least send a copy of the download manager (presuming the serial from the boxed version would work), which would download the patched version of the program file.

The flaw in your argument, which you do not seem to want to acknowledge is that pretty much everyone else who bought Poser 2014 has gotten the program up and running with relatively few problems. What's different, Earl, is that the OP is likely trying to install it on a system with IE 11; we all installed it with earlier versions. The issue with IE 11 is fixed by the service release, which may need to be installed prior to running the program the first time (it is with the current download version)
