If anyone is using Snarly's EZSkin, you can use the hair settings for transmapped pieces. I would say that results are rather good. You can also add SSS to the shaders but render time will increase. The image is a render in PP2014 using EZSkin applied to the hair without SSS. Specular highlights were reduced to 10% (Default = 60%), 1 infinite light and BB's envsphere; IDL render. Morph brush and render sub-division was applied to smooth out the sharp bends in the mesh.
