Quote - I started with poser 5 YEARS ago. I didn't do much with it I am afraid but found an intrest so I bought poser 6 a few years back. It sat in dust a long time until the last few months. I thought I would try it and found out I love 3d art and animation. I have been learning all I can with poser 6, wings3d, a little bit of blender, and now learning vue.
I think I have come a long way in a short time...I have been focused on learning instead of actually posting things though. Anyway, I am curious as to if anyone here makes money from all of this. If so how do you do it and does it "pay the bills"?
It can pay the bills, and quite easily. However a lot depends on reputation (something you have to build), what you create, where you sell, and how you market a product, yourself and what apps & figures you decide to support.
Also when you decide to release an product is extremely important. Is it in the middle of a huge sale? Is there a similar product on offer that can eat into sales? Does a similar product exist? Is my product better than what is already on offer? What is happening on other sites that might take away from the attention of my release? All these aspects have to be taken into consideration for a better chance of success.
Lots and lots of research has to be done. You can either enter vending like a headless chicken, or enter it with a gameplan:) So you can make decent money doing this, but it depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it.
