Detail is unique and tied to one situation or personality.  It's the same with houses or cars.  A house with murals on every wall, or a car with lots of bumper stickers and decals, is much harder to sell than a plain neutral unit. You can always paint your own murals and add your own bumper stickers.

Look through the Clearance section of the Marketplace to get an idea of what doesn't sell very well.  You'll see a lot of highly detailed and personalized texture sets.
