Actually, most aren't even able to catch the ball in the first place, as they can't be bothered to model using proper reference.
That's so sad. There are cars out there with AMAZING detail, but because they were eyeballed without any reference, there isn't even one correct shape or dimension on them.
They don't even look at least "toon-" or "toy-like".
They look just weird and wrong and ugly to anyone knowing how the original is supposed to look.
Just because the modeller couldn't be bothered to spend 30 minutes googling some reference pics and loading them into his modelling app. :-(
And of course stuff like this is almost impossible to fix. You can just as well start from scratch and build your own (correct) version.
Which I quite often do.
Or use a game mesh, which are usually of much higher quality when it comes to realism.
There are also a lot of free meshes around that are of better quality than comparable for sale meshes.
Guess if people model "for the love of it" they don't care spending more time to get "everything just right".
