RorrKonn is quite right, and I don't think he should have to show off a portfolio of work in order to have his opinion taken seriously. :D
Product quality and sales suffer when people rely on the "if you don't like it, shut up and do it yourself" attitude that is so prevalent.
I bought this (and M4's version) immediately because it really stood out from the crowd.

If it had included a medium level of wear and tear -- basic imperfect soles like you'd see on shoes that were actually walked in -- it would have been even more outstanding, but since it does include a dirty/torn texture, I'll have a lot more luck combining elements of that with a cleaner one in Photoshop than starting completely from scratch.
He also has a few other "worn" textured products. I suppose only the vendor knows whether or not this style of product sells well. It might well be worth the extra work to produce this sort of thing. I simply wish that more people did.
