Subject: Using Lace as a brush

I did the tutorial.  I experimented with creating my own brush.  The setup is the hard part.

The edge lace trim was too long and made it hard to apply to a curve, so I sampled a smaller section. 

To get it to "flow", the key was setting Angle Control to "Direction" and playing with the spacing in Brush Dynamics.  I did not want to feather the entire brush image because I need the details of the "Picot Edge", so I just blurred the edges where the brush stamps joined which helped with the hard edges where the "stamps" met.   The result is ok, nothing I can't touch up after stroking the path... As the angle increases, the edges become visible.   Any tips on minimizing this are appreciated.

 I am not sure I am doing this right or if the result is acceptable.  I used the brush to create a mask (no textures) so I could look at it critically.  See attached.  Comments, tips and criticisms welcomed.  Remember, two days ago I did not know how to create a brush from an image.
