The east/west streets in Galveston, Texas, go through the alphabet. Apparently they hadn't thought much in advance about intermediary streets, because they're all labeled 1/2. So there's L, L1/2, M, M1/2, N, N1/2, O, (and my favorite,) O1/2, P, P1/2 ... you get the idea. The tertiary streets are either nameless alleyways or streets with names like Teal, Gull, Ibis, Palm, Teak and Sylvia. Amuse yourself by looking up Galveston on Google maps and zooming way in, if you like this sort of thing! :)
