I think that I can help with the window switch. 

You might now that Reality actually does have a dockable panel. You enabled it with the Window | Addons | Reality menu.

In there you have a button to call Reality. If Reality is not running the button will start the program. If Reality is running it will bring it to the foreground. In this way Reality is always one click away.
