If the split has happened, and it has why oh why do we see the Genesis debate relived on the majority of threads in what is a Poser forum.
Genesis vendors are making piles of money, great for them and I do not begrude them a cent, but none of it is my money so I don't really care. If Poser users want to talk endlessly about why the split happened and whos fault it is then start a Poser-Genesis forum and let the rest of us, who are not interested, carry on without this endless sniping that convinces no one to change sides.
As with others, I support the Poser vendors with a large chunk of my spendable income every month. Mainly here are Rendo but also the other major sites with the exception of one. I did used to browse at Daz but I don't even do that now as there was never anything I wanted to buy. Not out to spite Daz, or any vendor for that matter, just my buying habits have changed. I do not see that changing any time soon, no matter how often I am told that Genesis is the great new tech, the must have, the one everyone is making money out of, the latest and greatest, what I am missing or anything else. Why, well because I am having fun with what I have and I don't see any renders of Genesis where I say "I wish I could do that" or any content where I say "I wish I could use that". When I do I will considering changing but only after I have seen what people are doing with it and how. No end of telling me it is great is going to work.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
