The question is actually 2-fold, yes, you can save subsets of body parts for posing, both default and morphed.  You will need to pose the part first before saving.  Now, if you intend to create target morphs for body parts, you will need to zero the figure first, select the body part and export it as an obj file to be modified in a modeling program.
