that's something, thanks for the heads up (and thanks to SM as well).
The issue I'm facing right now is that transparency, reflection and refraction when not being 0 or 100% but something in between, are affected by Gamma Correction while - in my opinion - they should not. That can be compensated for to some extent although mixtures of those are pretty complicated, but thats for static situations only. When the mix becomed say angle dependant (Fresnel), compensation for unjustified gamma correction is about impossible.
does anyone has an opinion on this?

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.
