I wish I'd never heard about that bloody horse -- or about Darren, for that matter. I think it's better to keep things secret until they are just about ready to be released, otherwise the year long wait makes some folks antsy, and if someone steps in and makes something that catches their eye in the meantime, they might just jump ship.

For instance, I just bought another horse while I was waiting for "Harry".  

Edit: And while I was waiting for Darren, um, now Dusk -- I discovered Genesis 2 Males (which is good, because it means I'm using Genesis as well, and can enjoy your creations, Raw). 

It's a race to the finish in this market, I tell ya. A race.

I think when those guys left, they must have took the "DAZ Soon" mantra with them. ;)

 

And actually Darren and Dusk are two separate figures; Darren is  Mec4D's character, though I've seen a M6 version of him in some renders.

LOLOLOL. Actually, they did. I have seen references to the "S-word" in their forums. And Daz does seem to be running a tighter ship these days. :D :D

Mec4D was making a character called Darren for Dawn, according to a thread in the forums. Just before she released it, however, it was decided (by whom, who knows?) that it was better not to "mix the Dawn gene pool" and she would wait for Dusk to be ready. So I assume she's converting him for use with Gen 2, which means, I suppose, as soon as he's released, I'll be able to use him right away, rather than waiting for a Hivewire version.
