Thanks for the tutorial about Nvidia plugin, but all the same it seems it requires a good diffuse. That's why i thought it would be ideal to generate normal and bump maps from such realistic fake embroidery diffuse as in this Realistic Embroidery. The problem is I don't know how to get this specific fill - I cannot buy it through Paypal because of problem with credit cards and so I'd wish to make a similar effect by myself (and maybe to alter it slightly, if necessary). I guess the author used some stitch brush but brushes can be used just along contours, eh? (He mentioned in the description -
How to get contours inside of a vector shape? What can be done in Photoshop to get such an effect -http://0.s3.envato.com/files/82030374/02_stylewars.jpg ? (I mean Style Wars logo). I'm not very experienced in Photoshop and don't know all its possibilities, maybe there is someone more versed, so couldn't you tell me where can I find a possible answer - maybe there are some good scrapbooking or web design forums and communities, where designers have dealt with a similar problem?
