I like to extend my skillset if I can see a future return in a reasonable amount of time. That's why I read the forums, and it's why I spend time trying to learn to use the software that I have as well as I can. A bit of tinkering can yield excellent results, but I'm not a tinkerer by nature. I don't enjoy it for its own sake.
I've considered going the Poser>Vue route myself, so this thread has been very useful to me. Lots of good stuff in here. The thing that has stopped me is the time it would take to learn another piece of software that I'd use exclusively for rendering. But it is tempting to give it a shot. If you've already got a familiarity with Vue, then it's just a matter of economics and efficiency, which version you need, etc, etc, and there's some good input in this thread in that regard. :)
