Are zBrush UV maps good enought for DAZ Poser Stores ?

I cant think of any reason!

Zbrush is more then capable of making beautiful maps

(bit "tongue in cheek" I tried a demo of Zbrush and I couldn't get into it )

with out a wacom cintiq or at least a wacom intuos5 at least a medium .

you can't really scupt in zBrush.So a demo not much use ,really.

takes practice to get use to and any good with wacom also.

the normal maps "mostly on game meshes" & vector maps,displacment maps "Poser" ,what DAZ calls HD I think ya see .

are made with zBrush or MudBox.

the main reson CGI Artist use zBrush or MudBox.they make meshes look killer :)

but if ya not making maps $1800.00 a lot of $$$ for just maps or to paint on a mesh.

Not true at all. I use a wacom graphire4 and can sculpt any kind of skin detail or anything else that i need limited only by my own skill. 

You can get a bamboo off e-bay for less than $100. Probably less than $50. Its the same as the graphire4 just newer. Mine is about 10 years old. Still works just fine for me. 

You can use photos, textures and alphas to sculpt with, you don't need to sculpt each pore by hand. That's just silly. 

If it's good enough for tv and Hollywood why wouldn't it be good enough for Poser? Sure I'd love a cintiq but not having one doesn't limit me in the least bit.

ZBrush is perfectly usable even without any tablet at all!

Regards the maps; I get the impression ZBrush is industry standard for maps and sculpting, so I don't see any reason why not.  That said, you might want to check out that stuff Bagginsbill posted because Poser interprets Displacement Maps differently.  They're compatible, but you need to remember to set-up the offset in the nodes if you intend to use Displacement Maps.

My first Wacom was the 1998 Intuos [GD] tablet 12x12.
with pen but there wasn't much diffrence between that pen and a mouse.
This was around the zBrush 1.55b days .
zBrush was around $50.00 ,$75.00.
LOTR & displacement maps wasn't till around zBrush 3 ,I think.

I know ya can do alot in zBrush.that ya do in any app.
But the scupting meshes like this Monster that can only be done in zBrush ,Mudbox.

Well if they start to look just a little hungery.I'd run :scared:

When I was a kid I found a baby snake caryed it in my pocket to school ,every where.
teacher saw us playing with the sanke in the lunch room .he pitched a fit.yelled and screamed for us to get awat from that snake.we thought he was crasy.

turns out it was a copperhead and apparently even the babies are dangerous.

when I was around 20 my girlfriends brother had a pet boa constrictor.
about 8 feet long.

it was wrapted around the mouse cage on top of the tv.
I was so use to that snake didn't pay it no mind
I bent down to change the chanell that snake struck right at my face.

I jumpted back fell over the coffie table and knocked the couch over.
emptyed a clip on that snake the mouse cage,tv n wall got in the way to .
they all thought I went crasy .LOL
