The last project I completed made thsi an absolute pain as I was working with dozens of files that were only a letter and/or number different, and in such a way that copy/paste saved very little time. It just seems like an easy fix to me. Am I worng that there's no way to save an item to the library without typing its name, even when the item is already present?
I simply select the previous render and then change the name
Quote - And the icing on the cake would be if when I'm in the mat room and attempt to replace a 2D image Poser would take me straight to the folder the in-use image image is in. I think as often as not the intended replacement file might be there too (esp. if you sort your skins by figure, textures into cloth, metal, wood, stone etc. as I do).
In Poser 10/PP2014 this is working as you describe it. It opens in the folder of the file you are replacing.
With regards to remembering path names, I agree. That could be a lot better. For now I use the Recent Places feature of Windows. This has by default the 10 last folders you have used.
Was talking about props, mats. poses etc. This is not an option when using the library.
And if PP2014 has fixed that, I have not yet noticed it working for me.
I love that people (incl myself) will defend Poser's functionality, but we're only fooling ourselves pretending the usability can't be improved.
Ok, saving to the library has its own save dialog and that one could definitely be better.
If you are in the material room and select a image node which has an image attached located at a specfic location and then press Browse, it will open at that specific location in PP2014. So image located at D:MyPropsRuntimeTexturesMyTextures will cause the browse folder to open at D:MyPropsRuntimeTexturesMyTextures.
That works for me. Are you doing something different?
