Subject: Poser 10 regular or Poser Pro 2012?

If you think you're going to be making your own content then I would suggest going with Poser Pro 2012 at least (2014 if you can manage it). Pro versions are 64-bit and have added content creation tools.  

The drawback is that some features in Poser 10 don't exist in PP2012, such as subD meshes. You won't have access to the newest P10 content or the comic rendering. If you want all the features of P10 with the added content creation tools then you will need to get PP2014. But you could get 10 or 2012 now and upgrade or sidegrade later. 

Poser 10 and Poser Pro 2014 are both on sale here in the market place until June 30th.
