I don't know, this may not help, but will the store allow you to buy a gift card with your rewards?
I've never tried it before, but it may allow you to hang onto them past the month if you can...
On a side note, someone spending enough to earn that many render rewards is the type of person you DO bend the rules to satisfy, especially when they are not being irate but simply asking nicely.
Also you could try emailing or calling, you may get more help or attention that way.
