My default resolution is 771x652. I know that is very strange. It fits my workspace and allows me to see the whole scene when rendered. I don't normally print my renders or use them for wall  paper or really anything but dust collectors on my hard drive so the odd dimentions don't really matter. When I am printing, I do use a much bigger size.
