I find most the Read Me's that mention commercial use, actually say something like not for commercial use without consent...now what exactly does that mean? Does it just mean that I can't sell the model, prop etc. or that I can't do that and also can't sell any image I rendered using the model, prop, etc.....to me that's like Adobe saying that any image I make using their brushes, I can't sell.......I think the Read Me's need to be more specific...what good is a model, prop, etc. if I can't sell the miage I made using it? Well, I guess it's good for a hobby, but I too sell alot of things I render in Poser.
Without meaning to dump on the generous creators here, being able to filter out (through the same set of checkboxes) content we don't want to download would be great. Better still would be some way of tagging the archives themselves, but that would either require some method common to both .zip and .sit formats, a specialized readme enclosed in the files, or a file renaming scheme that included codes and guaranteed the filenames didn't exceed 32 characters (because Macs will truncate after that).
Also, is it possible to add page numbers to the free stuff area like the galleries? Once in awhile you want to get back to a page (or close to it, since they move constantly) and it would be great to do that without having to hit Next 150 times to get back to the center of the free stuff area. Just a thought.
This is why I don't want to embed these codes into something visual where they can be overlooked or people can disagree over how they should be displayed. I'd feel more comfortable if they were kept in the databases and the readmes (for redundancy). If Curious would bother answering my emails begging for some persistent commenting in its files, we could have Poser5 tell us onscreen which elements in a scene are kommercial-kosher.

I have just downloaded two items from freestuff (via modem ... took ages) only to find that one had no readme whatsoever. The other did, and after scrolling past a page of italian(I think) I eventually got to the no commercial use bit. I don't know about most people but nearly every image I do is for some kind of commercial use either now or in the future. Now I am not gripping because I amnot allowed to use them, just the fact that I had to download the first to find out. Can we please have some kind of indication what can and cannot be used before we download.
