All I can tell you is that Poser Pro would be a good choice but you could/should  use/learn to use a some other 3D-modelling software too. (modelling in Poser is a no)
There's alot of them out there, free or paid for.  Just make sure that they read and write to the wavefront obj-format.

What are these programs that you recommend?

Like which ones?

Quote - Hello and welcome,

Poser Pro 2014 is a fantastic bit of kit! When you get the materials right, you can really create some mesmerising work, especially where SSS and IDL come into play. Couple that with bullet physics and the cloth room and you've got a well-rounded product. I can't say much for the hair room, as I've had mainly terrible experiences with that, but I've seen good results from others, so perhaps it's just something that requires patience to get right.

I'd advise you to get it. I have only rendered with Firefly so far and haven't tried any of the other software you've listed, but it's definitely a yes from me with regards to PP 2014!

Oh, and remember where the best place to come is for Poser help! ;)

Glen.

I don't mean to sound oblivious but what are the IDL and bullet physics?
