Shane and Bantha, I'll want to keep in touch with you on this, as I have similar plans, when budget permits. My goal would be to print out a pixie in a fairly clear high-fresnel material (something like Lucite), and insert an amber LED from the bottom of her feet to make the pixie glow. :biggrin: Why have glass ball nightlights in the yard, when I could have glowing pixies? 
I can do the mesh work, but I need to learn what is available in the way of 3D printers, and their relative advantages/disadvantages.
