How do reset materail room UI to stock UI ?

put the alpha in simple transparency.
How do you keep it from getting so warshed out & faded ?

It's a bump map in the render.
How do you put displacement maps on that look good ?

Thanks for the help :)

What program are you using to generate displacement maps?

And what settings are you using in that program?

Different programs generate and handle displacement differently, so you need to experiment with the settings in the program you're using to make the maps, and then experiment with the settings in Poser for those maps.

From the image looks like the colour part is being plugged into the diffuse node. If this is the case plug the colour into the ambient node instead. Also if not already done disable shadow on the flame prop.

Also check gamma - you probably forgot to set gamma = 1 on the transparency map.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Displacement map was painted in Gimp ,it's a 8 bit tiff.

flame is still warshed out & faded

gamma set to 1

no diffuse ,color map in ambient color

In hierarchy it's just one mesh.
How do you just turn the showdows off for one group ?

It's a real pain to laern new app's till ya get a clue.
Thanks a lot for your all's help ;)

You can't turn off the shadows in a single group of a mesh. You'll need to take the group, spawn it as a new prop, and then delete the group from the original mesh.

The shadow's not causing the washed out look, I mentioned it just because it can look odd in a render if the flame is casting a shadow.

Not sure why its still washed out. May be you could post the material settings if this is still a problem.
