It looks like there's a bunch of new tools to use for the Kindle--

I create the book in Dreamweaver, import it into the Mobi creator, and test it using the Kindle Previewer. It takes some time and experimentation (their explanation for making your Table of Contents, if you need one, is particularly useless). Some people use Photoshop for the original creation. You can also turn it into a PDF, and convert it to Kindle. I like using Dreamweaver for the original because I am so familiar with that program, and I like putting it into the Mobi creator because it gives me a look at the final formatting, in a .prc format, which I can then upload directly to Amazon.
I'm working on another right now, one of the Don Danger detective series I'm doing with a friend, a combination of text and photos. Is your project all images? Text and images?
