Subject: Why aren't 3d figures more racially diverse?

This Lack of detail you mention IMHO is more a lack of variety, that is based on the assumption in the poser market, that anyone looking for a black male CG Character is looking for a native "African" look

look at the American Chief of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson (attached pic)

 

 

....or even my own case where I have
black (now greying& balding)head hair.

naturally cinnamin brown facial hair with natural blond highlights and green /brown hazel eyes.

this kind of "ethnic"variety will only be achieved by learning to customize the figures yourself IMO.
