I'm pretty sure you probably just need a re-install if you haven't tried that yet. I'm running PP2014 on a Mac with only 2 gigs of memory. And mine works just fine. I'd kill for 16 gigs of memory. Anyway, try the re-install and see how that goes.

Also, make sure all your drivers and software is up to date.
