the component node is just making it a greyscale image?? nice idea ;-) can you do the same and take it to a displacment node ? (add a math to cut it down a bit ?) off to try that in blender lol could save lots of messing about in gimp

 

@RK can "node" anything ;-) might not work lol but thats part of the fun (sometimes boucing back an forth from blender[other] to poser can teach you more then sticking in one proggy) dunno if poser can deal with PS images (dont have PS ) jpg's dont have an alpha channel (png's are my fav but tend to be bigger file size then a jpg)

now most of us have 64 bit comps maybe exr will be the next norm ;-) bigger hard drive please lol
