still haven't received any of those emails, hence am assuming that limiting one-time chat room access to 8082 (utilistor) allowed me to protect all smtp/pop ports.  80 and 443 also allowed here.  blocked 81, 82, 8080 (webtrac) and 38086 for all sites.  whilst not concerned about tracking here, those in sensitive areas may consider vpn.
