edit: Cross-posted with shvrdavid. I considered the fitting room, Scott, but I fear it would play havoc with the eyelets/laces. I can get around that, but I was hoping for an automated conversion so that I do refit to several dolls. If I have to use the fitting room and then fix the eyelets/laces, I would only be willing to do a few dolls.
Thanks, gents. Yeah, shoes seem to be a special case, for some reason. RedPhantom pointed out the WW2 feature; from an initial test using PPro2014's built-in Wardrobe Wizard 2, which has a couple of shoe/boot specific options, it appears to convert well, with the understandable exception of the big lacing bow. I'll just modify the converted OBJ to fix that. I ordered some doll support licenses from Phil Cooke as well as the Shoe Converter; I'll try it in PPro2014.
The skates and toe poms are already separate from the boot. For use with the Ghostbuster jumpsuit (working on conforming fits for several dolls), I'll replace the fat & fluffy laces with either buckles or a zipper, and substitute a thicker lug sole.
I'll try to make a Genesis rollerskate boot, Ghostbuster jumper, and pixie dress/panty/slipper, but I don't have Genesis, so someone else would have to test the product.
For Rex (and other guys), I'll just omit the toe poms and re-texture the boot black and the wheels red.
The goal is to support some Poser native dolls, plus some independents, and some popular DAZ dolls. Roxie, Ginger2 & Minnie2, Posette, Jessi, Alyson2, Cookie & Chip, Gumdrop, Aiko 3 & Hiro 3, Anastasia, Antonia, Michelle, Dawn, V4/M4, and I'll try Genesis. I don't seem to have any means to convert for SuzyQ2/Dude2...Hmmmm.
Poser 12, in feet.
