Yes, I know, but it doesn't make it any less of a crutch that some have gotten far too dependent on; which in my opinion was the reason for it to begin with, and why DAZ is trying to shove it down our throats, much as they did with CMS. Autofit works just fine in studio with out CMS, so why did DAZ make it manditory for C8.5?

I may install it to get the beta; which I really don't think is right at all, but if I uninstall it what stops working? I didn't install CMS; mostly because I have absolutely no use for it, so autofit in C8.5 doesn't work. Is uninstalling DIM after installing the beta going to break the beta? Will autofit work in C8.5.1 with out CMS?

Sorry, you know I don't see DIM or CMS as any less then shackles and chairs to DAZ's content. 2 apps I have absolutely no use for, yet DAZ is constantly trying to force me to use them. This; in my opinion, is just another round of DAZ trying to force me to use something I don't want or have need of.

And i absolutely refused to be chained to DAZ by them.

But the question still remains, is DAZ going to fix everything it broke in C8.5? None of those fixes address any of the issues I am having with the new content C8.5 was built to be compatible with.

I'll make a deal with DAZ, if DAZ fixes the issues C8.5 is having with new content, G2F/M, poses, characters, and the necessity of having to have CMS installed to use autofit, I will buy back all the pose and character sets I got refunds on because they didn't work in carrara. I'm not shopping at DAZ because none of the new content for G2 work in carrara.

If DAZ wants to fix the issues in C8.5 they need to fix the ones that prevent us from being customers for the latest generation of figures; which includes nonDAZ figures like Dawn. After all that was what C8.5 was all about. That is what many bought C8.5 for. Here it is going on 3 years and C8.5 still can't do; well half arsed, what it was built for.

I do not find a sad few fixes in the modeling room something to celebrate; DAZ actually doing something, maybe. But it would be more for DAZ having done something, then what they have done.
