vampchild ( ) posted Fri, 21 November 2014 at 5:18 PM · edited Fri, 29 November 2024 at 5:25 AM

I just bought Texture Transformer order #112628870 and I cannot get the Texture Transformer to load.

It keeps showing something about a CRDOWNLOAD instead of a Zip. My computer won't open it .Help

Hi.

I have checked the files on that product and all 4 end with the .zip file extension. I saw that your downloads had been locked due to the number of times you had attempted to download them. So you can try downloading those again. Please delete all previous attempts at downloading first, and then try downloading those again. If you continue to experience issues, you will need to contact the vendor by sitemail here. They would be happy to help you with this. But when those file download they should be .zip files if they are correct.

Hope this helps. :)

It might say zip but all I get is (zip is not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous).

I have never seem this before on any file I've downloaded from this site. I tried again got

same thing. Not happy maybe want a refund on this bad file.

Please contact the vendor of the product so that they can assist  you. If a new file is required they would submit that for you. :)

I don't deal with vendors at all! I bought this from this site-you all should know if a product

is good before it is put in the store. You don't buy a car from a dealer and then carry it to the

maker if something goes wrong. If you all can't fix it I want a refund.

The product has sold many copies and all have gotten it to work for them. I downloaded the files, and got that same warning, but all that is needed is for you to click the Save Anyway and continue with the download and installation. You get that warning due to the types of files in the zip for this product. There are .dat files and other system files that make winzip caution you about keeping it. But it is perfectly safe.

 Hello Vampchild,

This problem is most often on the browser and the security settings you are using when trying to download the Texture Transformer files. Google Chrome is fairly well known for doing that. You can temporarily removing or change the security settings, or you can simply re-name the downloaded files to something like TextTrans_1.zip, TextTrans_2.zip, etc if the files are on your computer. Renaming saves you from having to download again, because usually the browser still downloads the file, it just names them so your computer won't know how to open them.

Please note the security settings for your browser, windows, and any anti-virus software can cause these types of issues. I can assure you our Blacksmith3D and Texture Transformer files are safe. However, if you are uncomfortable temporarily changing or removing those settings in order to properly download and/or install our products, I will gladly issue you a refund.

 Best Regards,

Blacksmith3D

Oh, I meant to add that I can usually help support the needed changes in your browser, windows or anti-virus settings (depending on which software you're using), so please feel free to post that detailed info here or email us at info@blacksmith3d.com if you do not want to post all of that in the forum and I'll be glad to help anyway I can.

I tried what you said and it worked. Sorry if I sounded a little bent, but I never

had this happen before. I've bought a lot of products from this site with no problems

at all. The reason I don't deal with venders is that some are very hard to deal with

even if they respond at all. Most all venders are very helpfull but you know one bad

tater makes the whole bushel smell bad. Sorry if I caused any greif and Thank you all

again.

Hello

While we understand your frustration regarding contacting the vendor if you are having technical problems, the reason for this is they are the creators of their items so they can provide the most helpful support for these types of issues as we are a brokerage not the actual copyright who created the item.

If you ever have any issue with a vendor not responding or not being helpful just let us know and we will intervene on your behalf.

Glad this was resolved easily for you

Happy Thanksgiving!!
