Here's my render in Poser Pro 2014, using procedural materials I made for the prop. I would attach the shaders for downloading, but Renderosity made it impossible to do that anymore - I can only give you pictures. Sorry.

OMG!  This is rendered in POSER?!  Seriously, I've not seen a velvet material nearly as realistic as you have done with that ribbon!  I've been working on a CYcles render of this object in Blender, and I've really wanted to do a realistic red velvet.  Your ribbon has put all my efforts in Cycles the past few hours to SHAME!! Your ribbon even looks better than the material in Luxxeon's preview!  No offense, Luxxeon, your renders are incredible, but this velvet material made my jaw drop, especially when I know it's done in Poser.  There's some true magicians at work in this thread, folks.  Wow.
