Subject: OT So where might one find a active photoshop forum ?

I almost didn't see your reply, I saw that dotted line and just assumed you had a massive signature :-D

Anyway, I'm glad you're trying it out.   It's been a while since I used it but that's one of the biggest things I remember about even the early version, was that it has very nice flow and feel on the tools.  Even the way the rulers work, I absolutely love that, and actually, there should be no reason for you to need to touch another program if you make use of those things.  I honeslty can't think of any sort of hand produced art that cannot be done in ArtRage.  Those rulers are ideal for making panels for the comics or knocking out some perspective backgrounds, and then of course you have all the different media types to do the art and inking in there as well.  And layering, blending, mixing, it's all in there, all in one place.

Won't be long before you realise what I meant about it being "designed for artists", and don't forget to look into the ways you can zoom and pan around a page without even selecting a different tool, it had that even way back and I love it.
