Has anyone tried the new version of Silo3D? For only $40.00 I'm tempted to give it a try...as I've been playing with the trial and watch Glen Southern's tutorials....

I tried the trial too.  What do you want to know?  Aside from some improved stability (it still crashed twice on me during a very basic extrusion modelling session) and bug fixes, not much has changed.  Still the same ol tools, which I've found very good 5 years ago, but extremely behind the poly modelling standard nowadays.  Check out how C4Dr15 and above creates bevels, and you'll see how things have changed since Silo.  Blender's modelling tools have far surpassed Silo now too.  Never thought I'd say that.
