You're right they would have overwritten each other. well then I'm clueless. I've never had that issue.  I need more liquor. that'll help me understand it. 

If it makes you feel better, I just had to reinstall my intuos drivers cause windows just randomly decided to lose them, so my pen was going backwards on the screen. so yay! on a night of problem-solving for both of us.
