If you have a generic or duplicate name for a Geometry or Texture then Poser will sometimes find the wrong one even if your paths are correct. This is a long standing bug, that may, or may not have been addressed in the latest version of Poser, but definitely still existed in Poser 2012 SR3.
I will also point out the fault in putting the Geometry or textures in the same folder as the file referencing them by giving you an example. Open the Poser 6 Jessie cr2 in a text editor (from any version of Poser after 6) and compare the paths in the file to where the files actually reside. Oops. That is one example as to why it is a bad practice. It is also not in keeping with the Poser published standard on how to do things. (From the Poser manual itself.) The one saving grace is that when Poser can't find a referenced file it will, usually, look first in the folder that you loaded the CR2/PP2/etc. file from before looking where it is supposed to look (Runtime:Geometries for example.)
So please put things where they belong and, if it is a referenced file, name it something unique. :) It will serve you better and remove headaches that are easily avoided.
