It sounds to me that you are trying to load a character file and don't have the necessary morphs packages to successfully complete the installation.  Check the specs in the content readme text and verify that you have the additional appropriate content installed before proceeding.  If you are lacking a morph package, you will need to purchase it from DAZ before you can use the model.
