I must say I never heard of it although it seems to be big problem here in Holland for several years now.  I don't consider myself as a stupid person but I'm rather dupable and an easy target for this kind of scam. It are these kind of people who spoil the internet.

I don't worry about the applications and the content, It will take some time to reïnstall them. I'm more sick about the projects I've lost, I won't get that back, but on the other hand it's a new challenge to start new project.
