What seems to have made them stop calling my number was telling them that I sold my computer to simplify my life. Haven't had a call from that type of scam in over seven months (knock on wood). A neighbor told me she told them she owned a Mac and they stopped calling.

There's always, "Oh, Microsoft...." [yell in the other direction] "Honey, it's work calling. I think they want you to come in." "Told them she owned a Mac..." Good one. Reminds me of how I used to stop door to door evangelists from coming back round. Once I told them I was Jewish (which just occurred to me on the spur of the moment because I'm not), I didn't see them any more.
