Do exactly what the warning box suggests, highlight the command file, go to file and open the Get Info menu.  Towards the bottom of the menu should be the listing of those with administrative privileges.  You may need to reset that to everyone or yourself.  Hopefully, you will be allowed to make those changes.  I don't own a MAC, but I have had to reset permissions on a work MAC using this method.
