Reminds me of how I used to stop door to door evangelists from coming back round. Once I told them I was Jewish (which just occurred to me on the spur of the moment because I'm not), I didn't see them any more.
That is surprising tho. Most of the door-to-door evangelists (other than JWs) are from churches that consider a Jewish person to be a "prize catch". Convert one of the Chosen People and you get extra brownie points with God... I just tell them that I'm a Quaker (I am). They ask what a Quaker is, and I tell them if they've got a couple hours to spare I'll explain it. That usually sends them scurrying.
