Google records everything, it's what they're about, so if you search for something and it's not something they know about it will ask you, "Did you mean this?"

If uou clicked yes and it was a word already in use, then there could be literally thousands of websites pop up and you would be on the end of it because you're the newest addition.  On the other hand, if you have aname Google isn't aware of and you continue with your new name, Google will eventually learn that it;s a name and it will no doubt attribute that name to sites you click on (because it is none the wiser).

Lets say you called yourself "MrRebelArtist", and you also had a websitwe or blog with that name.  Eventually Google's bots will find your site or blog, and when you search for "MrRebelArtist" and it lists your website, guess who's gonna come first in the search?

You are, cause your site or blog is the only "MrRebelArtist" it knows.  If you then click on your own site in the result (and perhaps get some of your mates to do the same after a Google search), Googe will start to see a pattern and soon attribute your site as a popular or only site for that name.  From then on, if others start to use your name as well, you're still gonna come first in the search and Google won't keep asking people "Do you mea this?".  Google only does that until it's aware of something, I assume so anyway.

I'm not saying that's exactly how it works, but it stands to reason it must work something like that, at least to some extent.
