We are working on putting together some forum contests and challenges with actual prizes, just takes time to get details worked out.
- Excellent looking forward to that!
One of the reasons that the forums aren't popular as much as before is that it always ends up being a software discussion with heightened emotions like people take thinks personal when you don't use a certain software.
I just don't get it, it's a tool like a pencil, I'm not offended by people who use a brush instead of a pencil.
I for one I'm very glad that the chatregulars use all kinds of softwares in harmony, we teach eachother and learn from eachother, like it supposed to be, like it used to be in the forums...
Big hug to all chatregulars, you guys are great!
I can't argue with any of that and RDNA has the same problems, not surprising when it is often the same people, even if they do use different names. I guess other forums suffer in a similar way and the moderators have thankless job in that they are either accused of stifling conversations, taking sides or something much worse. Problem is that the people leaving now are the ones we would like to hug, thus leaving the field to even more of the 'my software is great' or 'my view is the correct view' contributors. Then throw into the pot issues like your last thirty minutes of typing disappearing because you tried to do something really whacky like a cut and paste, and the fun content of the forum heads ever closer to zero
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
